Hi! I'm Pau — a biomedical engineer turned software & AI developer. I build products where healthcare, chemistry and data meet: machine-learning models, computer-vision systems, generative-AI tools, and the full-stack software that turns them into something people actually use.

origin story

I started coding at 16, teaching myself C++ to build my own projects — then fell for Python and never really stopped. By my first year of university I was already teaching programming basics to other students.

Biomedical engineering gave that curiosity a purpose: data, machine learning and medical imaging — work that can end up mattering to someone's health. My bachelor thesis with Sant Joan de Déu Hospital used machine learning on brain-imaging data to study mental and neurological health; it graduated with honours and made it to an international conference.

Since then I've shipped AI and software across research centres and startups — from European health projects to molecular data in the fragrance industry. Different domains, same thread: turning messy real-world data into products people rely on.

    EIT Health BEHealSy fellowship

    A three-month research stay awarded through the EIT Health BEHealSy fellowship. Researched the spatiotemporal reconstruction of gated PET/CT lung data with a U-Net architecture using backprojection-induced skip connections, for better feature propagation and spatial resolution.

    Led international AI projects for the healthcare industry end-to-end — planning, execution and delivery, the Agile way. Built classification and regression models with serious preprocessing behind them, generative-AI tools and chatbots on LangChain, and YOLO-based computer vision; deployed to Azure and AWS. Wearing the other hat: H2020 / Horizon Europe and national proposals, budgets and partner coordination, and ISO 62304 compliance for medical-device software.
